Dane Avondoglio, MS, DMD
- Dr. Dane Avondoglio grew up in northwest NJ. He graduated from the University of Richmond and before starting dental school, he was a cancer research biologist at the National Cancer Institute where he published two papers. He also received a Master of Science degree at UMDNJ in biomedical sciences and was a middle school math and English teacher. Upon graduating Rutgers School of Dental Medicine with Dean’s list distinction and awards in implant dentistry, he completed a one year residency at the VA Medical Center in Washington, DC. There he increased his exposure and skillset, doing everything from smile makeovers to advanced implant surgeries.
- Well-trained in all aspects of dentistry from his residency, he knew investing in himself through continuing education would be a top priority. Dr. Dane is currently studying at the Kois Center in Seattle, working through the comprehensive curriculum. He is also working on achieving accredited status from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Dane has already received his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry - for which he passed a written examination and completed over 500 hours of continuing education.
- After two years of private practice in northern NJ and the last four years associating in the Cincinnati area, the stars aligned for his wife and him to take over the practice of Dr. Starla Clark. In his free time, Dr. Dane enjoys skiing, golfing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
- Dr. Dane is on faculty at the University of Cincinnati Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program, where he teaches the newly graduated dentists restorative dentistry and dental photography.
Renata Villarreal, DMD
- Dr. Renata Villarreal was born in Ecuador and grew up in Newtown, Connecticut. She graduated with a B.S. degree in molecular cell biology from the University of Connecticut. Upon graduating Rutgers School of Dental Medicine with Dean’s list distinction and induction into the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, she completed a one year residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
- Dr. Villarreal is well trained in restoring full mouth rehabilitation cases, as well as providing IV moderate sedation, connective tissue grafting, Pinhole, LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure), Botox and dermal fillers.
- She is dedicated to advancing her skills and knowledge through various Continuing Education programs. She is currently living in Mt. Auburn and enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
Amy Wallace - Business Administrator
- Amy has enjoyed working in the dental field for over 15 years. Throughout her career, Amy has worked as a chairside assistant, scheduling coordinator, and currently fulfilling the role as our business administrator.
- Amy's goal is to help our patients achieve and understand their dental needs.
- In her spare time, Amy enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.
Lea Toplovich - Front Desk
- Lea has over a decade of customer service experience. Lea joined Smiles Created in 2022 and has been dedicated to helping patients with each step of their dental visit - from making patients feel comfortable to scheduling their appointments to processing their insurance claims.
- When she's not in the office, Lea loves painting and spending time with family and friends.
Sue Davis - Hygienist
- Sue graduated cum laude from the dental hygiene program at the University of Cincinnati in 1988. She enjoyed working at Smiles Created for the last 23 years.
- A native Cincinnatian, she resides in West Chester with her rescued dog, Lucky. A healthy lifestyle is important to Sue: she enjoys weight training and running to stay fit. In her free time, Sue enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors.
Christi Hacker - Hygienist
- Christi has over 23 years of experience as a dental hygienist.
- Christi has lived on the eastside of Cincinnati for her entire life. She enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren, and pets. In her free time she also enjoys gardening and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Samantha Kirby - Certified Dental Assistant
- Samantha is a certified dental assistant and has been with Smiles Created since 2020. Sam enjoys the teamwork at our office and is dedicated to patient care. She works alongside Dr. Dane and Dr. Renata assisting in both advanced restorative dentistry and periodontal procedures.
- Outside of the office, Sam enjoys coaching youth sports, painting, and spending time with family and friends.
Alice Gilfillen - Assistant
- Alice came to us with more than 35 years in dentistry.
- Alice and her husband have three grown sons and 7 grandchildren. Her favorite things to do include sewing, camping, and spending time with her family.
